LAUNCHES. - The new barque, built for S.V.R. Watson, was launched on Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock from the ship yard of Mr. Jones. The new propeller, EMPIRE STATE, built for Charles Ensign, to run in the Peoples Line, was launched at 20 minutes to 5, P. M. The announcement of the affair attracted a large concourse of people who witnessed the launch with evident satisfaction. The EMPIRE STATE is a splendid specimen of naval archtitecture, and sits on the water like a bird.

the " ONEONTA," - The Barque ONEONTA, a new vessel, built at Jones' yard, for S.V.R. Watson, Esq., will leave port on Saturday next for Chicago, for a down freight of wheat. The ONEONTA is an A 1 vessel, and in her building and fitting out, nothing that skill could do, or modern taste and ingenuity suggest has been omitted. Her grain carrying capacity is about 26,000 bushels, and she is to be commanded by Capt. Emory Close, a skillful seaman and a popular man, and we shall expect to hear a good account of the vessel which has been placed in his charge. - Com. Adv.

The new barque ONEONTA, built in Cleveland the past winter for S.V.R. Watson of Buffalo, reached here yesterday afternoon. She is a fine looking craft and of the same model and finish as the UNDILLA and SHERMAN, which passed up a day or two since. She is said to be about 25,000 bushels capacity. - Detroit Adv.
