CUYAHOGA WORKS. -The Cuyahoga Works are now engaged on five engines besides a large quantity of less important machinery.-- A low pressure engine, of very perfect workmanship and embracing several valuable improvemants, of 450 horse power, is building for the steamer PACIFIC which is expected here in a few days from Newport, Mich., where she was built for Messrs E.B. & Samuel Ward. ---Cleveland herald.

NEW STEAMER.- The new steamer PACIFIC built at Newport, Mich. by J. Wolverton, for Messrs. E.B. & S. Ward is now taking in her engine -- low pressure -- at the Cuyahoga Furnace. The PACIFIC is about 560 tons burden, 180 feet keel, 26 feet beam and 9 feet hold. She will be ready for business about the middle of May and will be under the command of Capt. O. Salisbury.

THE STEAMER PACIFIC -Ward's new boat, came up yesterday from Cleveland, where she was getting in her engine. Her running time from Cleveland here was eight hours and a half, allowing that she fully meets the expectations of her builder and when her machinery has been used and got in good order, we may expect some fast time from her. -- Detroit Free press

THE STEAMER PACIFIC.---Captain Salsbury, leaves this port this evening for Detroit. She is represented by those who have seen her move through the water, as a vessel of uncommon speed, and she will no doubt trouble her competition to keep up with her.
