Capt. Louis Bogert of the stmb. ROBERT A. PACKER, which was being unloaded at the Anchor line elevator, was suddenly taken ill yesterday afternoon. Mrs. Bogert was called from her home at Black Rock and the best medical aid summoned. Everything possible was done to save the captain but without avail, and he died at 9 P.M. The cause of death is supposed to be apoplexy.
