Two new schooners are building at Milwaukie, to be ready for the lakes in the spring; and $45,000 have been subscribed at the same place for the purpose of building a steamboat to ply between Milwaukie and Chicago.

The schooner White Pigeon, Captain Newall, of the Troy and Erie Line, recently arrived at Chicago in three days and six hours sailing time, from Detroit.
