ANOTHER STEAMBOAT LAUNCHED.--The Steam Packet James Madison, the largest boat ever committed to the Lakes, was launched at Erie, Pa., on the 13th inst. She is of 700 tons burden, and contains, besides the usual cabins, thirty-six state rooms with two berths each. She is to be finished in a superior style, and is destined as a regular packet between Buffalo and Chicago. The proprietor is Col. Chas. M. Reed, who is also the owner of three other steamboats on the Lake, and is about to commence building the fifth.
