We rambled over the good steamer PLYMOUTH ROCK, which arrived at her dock for the first time this season, yesterday, and found her in better trim than ever. With the improvements that have been made upon her during the past winter, she has come to be one of the most elegant steamers now on the lakes. Her size is enormous, her speed ample, and her reliability unquestionable. As for her decorations, one sits as if in King's palaces, when he appropriates a chair or a sofa in either of her cabins. The other steamers of the line are in the same condition---we simply take the ROCK as a specimen of the whole. The officers of the boats now comprising the North Shore---or Michigan Central Line---are as follows:

WESTERN WORLD -- J.H. Barker, commander; W.B. Phelps, clerk; D.C. Wilcox, steward; H. Lawrence, engineer.

PLYMOUTH ROCK -- P.J. Ralph, commander; John Evans, clerk; J. Larkin, steward; J.E. Edwards, engineer.

      MISSISSIPPI ---S.G. Langley, commander; G.R. Noble, clerk; M.R. Wormer, steward; Nelson Rockfellow, engineer.

      It is needless to say that the boats are inimitably officered, and to predict for them a highly prosperous season.
The Agency of the line at this point, is vested in Charles E. Noble, a man who works with head; heart and both hands, and who contributes as much it its popularity and success as any other officer.
