Schooner RAPID. - The schooner launched by Van Slyke, Notter & Co., last week, for Andrew Scott and Capt. Morton, of Erie, and Lewis P. Joy, of this city, has been named the "RAPID." She will measure about 260 tons burthen.

VESSEL SALE:-- The Commercial says the schooner RAPID, of 263 tons burthen custom house measurement, built and launched last season by Van Slyke, Notter & Co., has been sold by Walter Joy to Capt. Gebhard for $12,000. She will go into the Buffalo & Upper Lakes trade, and has been chartered by Billings & Dickinson, for her up trips, to carry lumber from East Saginaw.
