The last of the 6 steel steamships of the Menominee Transit Co., the ROMAN, will be launched at the shipyard of the Globe Iron Works Co., Cleveland at 2:00, Tuesday.

The dimensions of the new steamer ROMAN recently launched at Cleveland are as follows:- Length of keel 296 feet; length over all 312 feet; beam 40 feet and molded depth 24 feet 6 inches. Her engines are the regular pattern, Globe triple-expansion 24, 38 and 61 inch cylinder with 42 inch stroke. Two boilers, 12 feet 6 inches by 14 will furnish steam at 160 pounds pressure. The wheel is sectional, 14 feet in diameter and 17feet and 6 inches lead.
