Romeo (Steamboat), 26 Jul 1845

Description
Full Text

The new steamboat ROMEO, belonging to Messrs. B.B. Kercheval & Co. will be launched at 4:00 this afternoon, from the dock at the lower part of this city. She is of about 180 tons burthen, we understand, and has been named after the thriving and stirring village of ROMEO, in Macomb county. We hear it whispered that she may too perhaps run to Buffalo in opposition, but know nothing of the fact. What will our Romeo friends do for their staunch little name sake ? Ought she not bear their flag as well as their name ? - Detroit Adv., 26th.
