General Scott (Steamboat), 1 Mar 1840

Description
Full Text

The GEN. SCOTT ___ This is the name of a new and beautiful steamboat, of 200 tons burthen, built by Gillis & DeSnoyers, and commanded by Capt. Ira Davis. She is a perfect model, and, in all respects, one of the neatest vessels on the lake. She is advertised to leave for Buffalo, on the 21st. Whoever takes passage in her will find her accommodations good, and Capt. Davis one of the finest of the army of fine fellows now in command on our beautiful waters.-- Detroit Adv.
