The new steel steamer built at Cleveland and named the CHARLES J. SHEFFIELD is having her machinery place on board. She will be the fastest afloat.

The new steel prop. C.J. SHEFFIELD was launched at Cleveland yesterday. She is 274 ft. over all, 37 ft. beam, 23, ft. hold and will carry 2,350 tons of ore. Cost $160,000.
