The river steamers between this port and Malden and Gibraltar have been making regular trips for some time past. The river for the past few days has been entirely free of ice. Early yesterday the schr. SPY, of Huron, Ohio, arrived from that port, with a cargo of provisions, &c. She encountered no ice whatever on her trip, the lake in the vicinity of the islands being as clear as it is in August. She took in a load of flour, and was to have returned last night.
