The dimensions of the new propeller approaching completion for the Union Steamboat Co. are as follows: The STARUCCA is 220 ft. long, with 34 ft. beam, and 14 1/2 ft. hold. Her carrying capacity is estimated at 1,500 tons. Starucca is the name of a railway station in New Jersey.
      The new boat now on the stock will be 252 ft. long, 35 ft. beam, and 15 ft. hold. Carrying capacity 1,700 tons. She will also be named after an Erie Railway station.
