NEXT LAUNCH AT WEST SUPERIOR: -- The first of the new Tomlinson steamers will be launched at West Superior in about ten days. She will be named SULTANA. Her length is 366 feet, beam 48 feet and depth 28 feet, carrying capacity on 18 feet draught, 5,000 gross tons of iron ore. She will be equipped with two Scotch boilers 14 x 12 feet in size and a triple-expansion engine 20x33½ x55 inches with 40 inch stroke. The SULTANA willl have accomodations for eleven passengers, and those apartments will be superbly furnished and furnished. Her house-flag will be the colors of the University of Michigan, yellow and blue.
