The Lake Erie Steam Boat Company have commenced building a new boat, on the margin of Buffalo Creek. Noah Brown, Esq. the builder of the old boat, has contracted to have this completed by the 10th of May next. It is calculated at 290 tons, 44 tons less than the WALK-IN-THE-WATER. --- Buffalo Journal.

LAUNCH. -- On Saturday last, the new steamboat SUPERIOR, was launched at Buffalo Creek, amidst the cheers and acclamations of a numerous concourse of spectators, assembled from this and the adjacent towns; and a salute of 13 guns was fired from her, after she had safely descended to her destined element. She is a fine built vessel, constructed of the best materials, and is to be fitted for the lake with all possible expedition. -- Buffalo Journal.
