Last Saturday a new schooner, built by Frank Leighton for A.K. Commins & Joseph Hubbard, was launched in Black River. She was christened TOPSY. Her dimensions are 97 (K), 107 (O.A.) x 25 x 8 1/2 ft. Like all vessels built by Mr. Leighton, her workmanship and finish is of the very best character. She is intended for carrying either grain or lumber. She has a capacity for carrying from 150 m. to 160 M. feet of lumber. - Port Huron Press.
