The tug E.B. WARD, JR. was out on the river Saturday trying her machinery preparatory, it is reported to leaving today (Sunday) on an ocean voyage to New Orleans, where she will engage in towing during the coming winter. Charles H. Ward, the owner arrived back from New York Saturday, where he had been trying to affect an ocean insurance policy on his tug, but it is stated the agents refused, claiming that it was liable to freeze up now at any moment "out West."
