LAKE WINNEBAGO and FOX RIVER
      The New and Splendid Steamer
      D. B. W H I T A C R E, Captain James Harris,
      This new and splendid steamer is now nearly completed and ready
      to commence her trips for the season. She will be finished and
      furnished in the most elegant style. In her speed and accommodations
      she will rival the Hudson River boats. This boat has been built
      expressly for this trade. She will carry 300 tons, is of light
      draught water, and her engines are of 100 horse power. She will
      leave Fond du Lac and Taycheedah every other day, touching at
      Menasha, Neenah, Oskosh, Strong's Sanding, and other point on Lake
      Winnebago and the Upper Fox River. Any shipment from the east to
      Kirkland & Taylor, Sheboygan, or W.H.Bruce, Green bay, for this boat
      will receive strict attention, and will be delivered to any of the
      above ports with all possible care and despatch, and no unreasonable
      charges for freight or passage will be extorted. Capt. Harris is sole
      proprietor of the D.B. WHITACRE, and trusts his enterprise may receive
      a liberal share of public patronage.
