POLICE TUG E. C. KNIGHT GOES INTO COMMISION.
      The Tug ERASTUS C. KNIGHT, owned by Benjamin L. Cowles, has been loaned to the city until repair, can be completed on the GROVER CLEVELAND, and went into commission as a police patrol boat last night. The Cleveland will not be in commission for about a month. The crew, when the boat went into commission was as follows: -- Sergt. John J. Ryan, commanding: Edward H. Malloy; William J. Hyde and Joseph Smith, pilots: James O'Neil, H. M. Bender. and W. E. Bullard, engineers: John Murphy; Philip Orr and Frank Regan, firemen, and the patrolmen assigned to this detail will be the same as were in last year's crew: Deckert. Downey. Dlckey, Lynch, Conners and Manley.
