TO REBUILD AMERICA.
Muskegon, Mich., June 25. - After being rebuilt next winter, the steamer AMERICA formerly the MOHAWK, owned by the Crosby Transportation Company, will be placed on the Milwaukee, Grand Haven, Muskegon run. The vessel is in command of Capt. Thomas McCambridge of Grand Haven and is being operated between Lake Superior and Lake Erie ports in the freight trade. The AMERICA is to be remodelled into a combination freight and passenger vessel, making it possible to better handle the increasing traffic of the line between Milwaukee and the two east shore ports on Lake Michigan. At present the steamers E. G. CROSBY and UNITED STATES, the latter just purchased by the Crosby Company, are on the Milwaukee - Grand Haven - Muskegon run.
