SMALL LAKE BOATS ARE SOLD TO CUBAN PARTIES.
Word reached Buffalo yesterday that the small wooden steamer A. Y. GOWAN and the barge J. A. HOLMES have been sold to Cuban parties. Both boats will deliver coal to Lake Ontario ports this week, after which they will start for Cuba.

The HOLMES was built in 1867, and was owned by E. C. Recor of St. Clair, Mich. She is 112 feet long by 26 feet beam.
