NEW IRON FERRY STEAMER - The propeller St. Lawrence arrived at Windsor on Monday morning, from Montreal direct, with a portion of the iron for the new ferry steamer which the Messrs. Jenkins* have contracted to build for the Great Western Railway Company. The above iron plate is now being discharged at Jenkins' shipyard, above Walker's distillery. This new steamer is intended chiefly for the freight department of the two lines of railway, viz., the Great Western and Michigan Central Roads, and of large proportions, with great power. The work of putting her together will be pushed forward with every possible despatch, or as fast as the iron material is received.
