Buffalo, May 1 - The 3 whalebacks BAY CITY, BOMBAY and
BARONESS which have been cut down 30 ft. to enable them to pass
through the Welland Canal, will depart for Boston tomorrow.
Capt. Daniel McCarthy will be in charge. Upon arrival at the
coast the whalebacks will be put in the coal trade by the Sprague
Navigation Co. of Boston.
