LAUNCH. - A handsome, well-built schooner, of some 300 tons, owned by Capt. Dimick, was launched from Jones's yard on the Creek, Saturday afternoon. She has been named the
" LONE STAR," and is intended for the Upper Lake Trade.

      LONE STAR is the name of a new fore-and-aft schooner just
finished, and now taking on a cargo at this port. Length of keel
133 ft.; breadth of beam 28 ft. 6 inches; depth of hold 11 ft.;
burthen custom house measurement, 383 tons. She was built by
F.N. Jones, for Capt. Dimick, and is commanded by Capt. Eastwick.
She is of a beautiful model, having a water line that will not
make a ripple, throughly rigged and will class A1* according to
the standards of the Board of Lake Underwriters.

SHIPBUILDING. - We give below a table showing the names, tonnage, valuation and builders of the new vessels turned out from our shipyards during the present season. This statement is a gratifying evidence of the prosperity of this branch of trade in our city, affording as it does, employment to a very large class of our citizens.
