A NEW SCHOONER. - A new schooner, named the ASA CHILDS, arrived in Cleveland harbor, from Mentor, Lake County. She is a three-masted vessel, and was built at Mentor; being launched yesterday at 12 o'clock, and started for this port at 5 o'clock P. M. Her owners are Captain Fountain and Mr. J.W. Byrnes, both of Mentor. She cost about $18,000. Her dimensions are as follows: 127 1/2 feet over all; 26 feet 3 inches breadth of beam; hold 8 feet 6 inches. Her tonnage is estimated at 450. The vessel is styled a barkantine. She will be employed in the Saginaw lumber trade. Plain Dealer, 6th.
