The prop. CALIFORNIA, which took on a general cargo at this port on Friday for dunkirk, left early yesterday morning on her voyage. On reaching Malden she sprang a leak and was obliged to put back to this city, arriving here at about 1:00. On her arrival here it was found necessary to discharge her entire cargo and put her in proper repair. She will necessarily have to go into drydock.
