Marine City: - The steam ferry SIDNEY JONES is now nearing completion. She is 40 x 11 x 5.5, she is provided with a cabin 20 feet long and 10 feet wide; her engine is 7" x 12" from the Phoenix Iron Works of Port Huron. She will run between Marine City and Sombra. Sidney Jones is the captain and Charles Love, the engineer.
