The Maritime History of the Great Lakes
Cygnet (Steam yacht), 7 Aug 1857

Description
Full Text

A nice little steamboat, the CYGNET, makes a daily trip down the river, touching along the shore (Grand Island), and we commend our citizens, singly., or who, with their families want to shake off the dust of the heated town, to take a turn out for a day, and enjoy themselves in so retired and pleasant a spot. We are going to do so ourselves at the first convenient moment, and when we have done so shall have something more to day about it.
