      The new barge built at Grand Haven last winter was launched on Wednesday of last week, and named the C.O.D. Her dimensions are 138 ft. length of keel, 26 ft. 3 1/2 inches breadth of beam, 10 ft. depth of hold, and 146 ft. over all. She registers 288 tons, and has a carrying capacity of 300,000 ft. She belongs to Kirby, Furlong & Co.'s line and will be commanded by Capt. John Mulvaney.
