Col. Leavenworth, Maj. Vose, Captains Whiting, Gooding and Gleason, and Lieutenants Clark, T. Hunt, and Giles, with about 90 men of the 5th Regt. of Infantry, sailed this morning in the Schr. Michigan, Capt. Norton. This detachment of the 5th Infty. will join the two detachments which departed a few weeks since, at Green Bay, where boats are in readiness to receive the whole, and proceed directly to the mouth of St. Peter's river, via Fox and Ouisconsin rivers to the Mississippi. ...
