The Saginaw Courier says: "There has been laid within a few days the keel for a 3 masted schooner at the shipyard of William Crosthwaite in this city. She will have a length of keel of 190 ft. and to be 200 ft. overall. The steam timbers and a portion of her ribs are already in position. The new vessel is being built for Capt. Davis of Buffalo."
