A number of our worthy detectives had a holiday given them yesterday by Supt. Byrne, and spent it in a fishing excursion with teir families down the river. They had good luck having captures over 55 black bass, and enjoyed themselves finely. They went on the tug JIM HAYES, run by Capt. James Duff, of North Buffalo, and are loud in their praises of the captain and his boat. We would also commend Capt. Duff and the HAYES to parties going pleasuring down the river.
