      Port Arthur, May 19 - Purchase of American Steamships PANTHER and CALEDONIA was announced today by the Massey Steamship Co., which plans to put the vessel under Canadian registry and in Canadian lake service.
      The PANTHER of 1,634 gross tonnage was built at West Bay City, Mich. in 1890 and was owned by American Steamship Co. of Milwaukee.(?)
      The CALEDONIA of 1,197 gross tonnage was built at Marine City, Mich. in 1888 and was owned by the Great lakes Engineer Co. of Buffalo.
