Full Text

Is hereby given, to all whom it may concern, that whereas Augustus Thorp, of the county of Monroe, holds a bond of mine, given for the conveyance of two soldiers Land Patents, in six months, after the date thereof; dated at Detroit, the 23th of 26th August, 1819, and be[ing] in part payment for the schooner Livonia of the district and port of Detroit; and that the said bond was obtained by fraud and deceit. Therefore, fair warning is given against taking assignments of the said bond, as I am determined to pay the said bond to no person other than the said Augustus Thorp, or his administrator.


N.B. All claims which the above mentioned schooner Livonia is legally holden for, are requested to be presented on or before the 25th of February, 1820, legally authenticated; as she will not be, by law or otherwise, considered responsible after that date, for claims previous to this date.
