The schr. J.W. HOLT, owned by D. Provost & Sons, was towed to this city last week from Tonawanda, where she has been undergoing extensive repairs during the past winter. The entire ceiling from stem to stern, and part of her bilge, keelsons have been taken out, replaced with 4 inch white oak plank, fastened through and bolted between every frame. About half o her outside planking has been taken out and replaced, with 3 1/2 inch white oak plank. The vessel has in fact, received a thorough rebuild and is now as staunch and good as when she first came out. The repairs were made at the yard of Messrs. Parsons & Humble, and this alone is a sufficient guarantee that they have been well done.
