A new vessel called the MELVIN S. BACON wwas launched on Wednesday. Her dimensions are as follows: Length of keel 186 ft.; breadth of beam 32 1/2 ft.; depth of hold 15 ft. 8 inches. She is woned by Messrs. Pelton, Bacon & Lavoo. She is to be commanded by Capt. Ed Pelton, formerly of the schr. ANNA P. GROVER.
