      The ONONDAGA on of the 3 barges in tow of the tug WM. GARDNER JR., broke loose from the tow last night and went on the Galoe Island shoal. The tug which took the other 2 barges to Cape Vincent, attempted to get the ONONDAGA today, but it is not known here that she succeeded. The barges are laden with coal and bound to Montreal.
