NEW STEAM BOAT. -- "QUEEN ADELAIDE" -- The new steam boat built by Robert Hamilton, Esq., and other gentlemen to ply between Chippewa and Amherstburg, on the British coast of Lake Erie, was launched on Saturday last; and will commence her regular trips very shortly.

The QUEEN ADELAIDE. - We have at length been gratified by the arrival of this splendid steamer at our wharf. She arrived on Thursday evening from Chippewa, having touched at Buffalo, Cleveland, Long Point and Amherstburg; yesterday she proceeded to the wharf of Messrs. Verhokff & Jasperson above the ferry, where several gentlemen of the Town visited her and partook of the hospilality of Capt. Chrystie. In the afternoon she started on her return, and as she shot like an arrow past the town, she exhibited to great advantage the beauty of her model and the surprising power of her magnificient engine. We venture to say that she is not equalled in speed by any boat navigating Lake Erie, and her cabins and other accommodations, when completed, will do honour to the liberality and taste of her spirited owners. She is commanded by a gentleman whose urbanity, skill and activity, eminently qualify him for his responsible situation.
Her arrival caused quite an excitement in our little community, and the hurry and bustle of discharging a largeamount of goods for our merchants produced an aggreable interruption of the silence which has so long pervaded our shores. We sincerely hope that the QUEEN ADELAIDE may receive sufficient employment to renumerate her owners for their liberality and enterprise.
