Full Text

The launch of the new tug WILLIAM LIVINGSTONE Jr. at the Dry Dock Co. yard yesterday, was somewhat unexpected, but was nevertheless successful, and the new boat is now ready to receive her engines. Her measurements are 151 feet over all x 25 feet 6 inch beam by 13 feet depth of hold. Her machinery was built by Philbrick and Christy of Detroit and will, we understand, be shipped to this point by rail and set up immediately so that the new tug will be ready for service early in the season. It is claimed that this vessel is the largest ever built for tug purposes exclusively. Her cost will be about $45,000.
