The GEORGE KING is a new steam barge and was launched last week. She was built for and by the German Co., of Marine City.

      The new steam barge GEORGE KING, which was built and launched a short time ago at Marine City, has among other improvements in naval architecture introduced a new style of arches. They are united with the rail on either side and form a part of the same, and do not interfere with any space required for other purposes on board the steamer. The expenses of this construction is much less than the old plan.
