EARLY LEXINGTON. -- In 1845 or 46 A.S. Pratt commenced building the scow PONTIAC but failed to finish it and Hubbard & Luce completed and launched her. Another scow, the HENRY YOUNG was also built about the same time by Cole & Leuthy, but Lexington never attained notority in the ship building line.
