J. Abbott, Esq. received, by last mail, a letter from Capt. J. Rogers, who is now at Buffalo. The captain informs that 40 ship carpenters are now at work on the new Steam-Boat, and that he is sanguine in the expectation of being at Detroit with her in the month of May next. The person who contracted to build her, has engaged to have her completed by the 10th of May.
