      In the 'teens and 'twentiesDunkirk was one of the largest fishing ports on the Great Lakes. At one time 74 tugs, both steam and gasoline operated out of here. The largest catch of Ciscoe caught here was in1924, when the tug LYCORA lifted a total of 22 tons. That year the HAROLD J. had the distrinction of having caught the largest whitefish. It weighed 24 3/4 pounds. - L.V.
