FREIGHTER WILL BE LAUNCHED THIS WEEK.
Detroit, May 23. - The big steel freighter to be launched at the Ecorse shipyard on Saturday for the Cleveland Cliffs Company, will be christened MICHIGAN, and Miss Edessa Warner, daughter of Gov. Warner of this State, will be the sponsor. The ceremonies will be more elaborate than usual and the Governor will be present.

      Two big freighters will be launched at lake yards today. The stm. MICHIGAN, launching for the Cleveland Cliffs Iron Co. will be dropped into the water this afternoon at the Ecorse yard of the Great Lakes Engineering Works. The ship will be christened by Miss Elissa Warner, daughter of Gov. Warner of Michigan, who will attend the launching.
      The stm. CHARLES WESTON will be launched at the Bay City yard of the American Shipbuilding Co. at noon. Miss Mary E. Weston of Buffalo will be sponsor. The WESTON is launching for the Niagara Transit Co.
