      Saturday will be inspection day at Erie Beach. It will mark the opening of a new amusement park for pleasure seeking people of the Niagara frontier. The park has been embellished considerably since the close of last season Many new additions have been made.
      The boat service has been vastly increased with the addition of three steamers, the DUCHESS OF YORK, the OSSIAN BEDELL and the ferryboat ORLEANS. The latter is being reconstructed and will be completed within a few days. It will carry 20 automobiles in addition to several hundred passengers. l here will be direct train and boat connections with 20 minute service prevailing. The Erie Beach company acquired the ferry rights during the past week and propose to operate asafe and secure boat on regular schedule.
      On Saturday, Sunday and Monday the steamer DUCHESS OF YORK will leave the foot of Main street for the beach every hour, beginning at 11 o'clock in the morning. On Decoration Day there will be half hour service to the beach when the steamer OSSIAN BEDELL will be placed in operation. Tuesday, Decoration Day, will be the formal opening day. The University of Buffalo, University of Rochester and the University of Detroit will hold a big track and field meet in the stadium. Two bands will furnish the music and in the evening there will be fireworks. All of the new concessions will ha in operation
