THE "CONTEST" -- This is the name of one of the finest looking specimens of naval architecture which has ever been added to our lake marine, fresh from the hands of her builder, F.N. Jones, of this city. She is 126 feet in length, 28 feet 8 inches beam, with 11 feet depth of hold, and measures 347 tons. She is owned by Messrs. Hart, Newman & Co., and Capt. Pratt. Capt. Pratt is to have command of her, and she is now taking in a cargo for Milwaukee. The CONTEST is built after the best models, and will prove hard to beat. Success to her.
