EMPIRE STATE. -- We are informed that this elegant steamer has changed hands. The Southern Michigan Railroad Company, through E. C. Litchfield, Esq., having purchased Capt. Hazard's interest in her at the rate of $105,000 for the boat. We further learn that Capt. H. Van Allen long and favorably known to the public as the able, gentlemanly and efficient commander of the MAY FLOWER is to be first officer. The Company could not have made a better selection, and under such management she must win bright laurels as one of our noblest vessels.
