The Chicago Tribune says a side wheel tug 75 feet in length, 16 feet beam, and 5 feet hold, named the CONTRABAND, was launched at Chicago on the 23rd. She is owned by Messrs. Cutter, Whitebeck & Co., by whom she was built. She is designed for use at their lumber mill at Little Bay de Noc.
