NEW HAWGOOD STEAMER LAUNCHED NEXT SATURDAY.
Cleveland, June 25. -- Record time is being made in the construction of the new lake freighter which is building at the Lorain Yard of the American Shipbuilding Company for W. A. and H. A. Hawgood. It will be ready to launch on Saturday, June 30. The new boat will be named J. Q. RIDDLE , is 541 feet long, 55 feet beam and 32 feet deep. Her keel was laid on May 11 and from that date to June 30, will make exactly seven weeks that the boat was on the stocks. It is a peculiar fact, that the keel was laid on Friday and also that the work will be finished on Friday.
