LARGEST VESSEL IN CANADIAN TRADE.
Liverpool, April 29. - The new steamship LAURENTIC, for the White Star Dominion line service, sailed today for Montreal on her maiden trip. Her sailing marks the entry of the White Star line into the Canadian trade, in conjunction with the Dominion line. The new steamship MEGANTIC will make her first voyage to Montreal early in June. The LAURENTIC is the largest vessel in the Canadian trade. She is designed to carry a large cargo and a full complement of passengers - about 260 first class, 430 second class and 1,000 third class.
